Bid envelopes shall be marked: T-1-2025 643 LONG-LINE PAVEMENT MARKING PROJECT The only bids that will be accepted will be those of bidders of record. Bidders of record are those who have signed the bidders list, obtained specifications and paid the prescribed fee. The Total Engineer's Estimate for the project is:$178,000.00 (Base Bid) $197,000.00 (Including all Alternates) Construction Work shall be completed by November 30, 2025. The Contractor may be allowed to extend the completion date to May 31, 2026 for reasons of weather and/or material shortage. Upon receiving a responsible and responsive low bid, the County will proceed with Award of the Contract based off the Base Bid plus Alternate or any combination of Alternate, whichever the County deems most beneficial. A pre-bid conference will not be held by the Stark County Engineer's. If any questions or clarifications are needed answered, please email them to us prior to 10:00 AM on October 1, 2025 and we will address them accordingly. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid guaranty in the form of (1) a certified check, or cashier's check, or letter of credit equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid; or (2) a bid guaranty bond for the full amount of the bid;both forms of guaranties as provided in Chapter 153 of the Ohio Revised Code and in the project specifications. All bid guaranties shall be conditioned that if the bid is accepted within sixty (60) days of the bid opening, a proper contract shall be executed and that upon failure or refusal to enter into said contract within ten (10) days after receipt of notification of award, the bidder and the surety on any bond shall be liable to the County in an amount not to exceed ten (10) percent of the bid. The Stark County Commissioners reserve the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received, and to accept any bid or combination of bids which is deemed most favorable to the County at the time and under the conditions stipulated. The commissioners further declare that they will award the contract for this project to the lowest and best bid, which may not necessarily be the lowest bid.
