ReferencDevelopment of water infrastructure at the Driscoll Ranch Grazing Unit in La Honda Creek Open Space Preserve to connect a recently installed well to the existing water infrastructure. All infrastructure must be installed according to Project Plans and Specifications found included here-in under Section E, "Project Scope Documents," unless otherwise authorized by the District project manager. The scope of work includes: Installation of two (2) solar pumps and associated solar infrastructure Installation of one (1) false well Installation of one (1) 50-gallon pressure tank Installation of up to 150 feet of 1.5" HDPE pipe (DR11) and associated connections and valves Replacement of four (4) float valves at existing troughs Installation of wireless pump control system Testing of the completed system The additional scope items are included as bid alternates which the District may opt to award: Installation of one (1) 5,000-gallon HDPE water storage tank and associated connections to existing water tank Replacement of one (1) stock trough with a new HDPE stock trough Installation of galvanized steel fence enclosure with gate at Well Site Installation of galvanized steel fence enclosure with gate at Tank Site Ae Number 0000398038 The purpose of the La Honda Creek Agricultural Water Development Project (Project) is to develop the ranch water distribution system to support Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District's Conservation Grazing Program within the Driscoll Ranch area of La Honda Creek Open Space Preserve. The scope of work shall include specifying and installing two (2) well pumps, a solar power array, and water distribution lines and connections to supply well water to the existing water storage and distribution system as further detailed and described in the Contract Documents. Project Location The Project site is located within the La Honda Creek Open Space Preserve near La Honda, CA in rural San Mateo County. The Project area is located within a working ranch consisting of rolling grasslands and is adjacent to two ponds. In addition to working ranch land, the area is also adjacent to publicly accessible trails and is habitat to several protected special status species. Coming from State Route 84, turn West onto Sears Ranch Road and continue for approximately 1/2 mile through the parking area into the Preserve. The Project site is in a closed area of the Preserve accessed through locked gate LH11.
