Contractor shall develop a native plant and tree palette for customer use that is climate appropriate, low maintenance and fits within program budget requirements. Contractor shall coordinate with Metropolitan staff and water agency staff in each of the three cities to identify potential sites for turf replacement. Project site locations are subject to change, if needed, at Metropolitan's discretion. Contractor shall contact the selected customers to arrange for a pre-installation site visit. The site visit shall include: MWD SPECIAL TRAINING - A. Program Training: The Contractor shall train their inspectors on Metropolitan's turf replacement program procedures before the first site visit. Health and safety protocols must be followed while serving as an agent of Metropolitan. B. Auditor Training Requirements: The Contractor shall require all managers and site supervisors working under Metropolitan's direct install landscape program to meet Metropolitan's training requirements. Metropolitan's training requirements include, but are not limited to: i. Completing the Water Efficient Landscape Dual Certification Program (WELDCP); ii. Maintaining a California Landscaper Contractors Association's (CLCA) Certified Water Manager (CWM) Certification; iii. Maintaining a Qualified Water Efficient Landscaper (QWEL) Certification; Contractor must provide a list of certified staff qualified to perform work under this agreement. Contractor shall maintain proof of certifications for all staff working within Metropolitan's service area. Metropolitan reserves the right to request and review certifications. Multiple WELDCP certification opportunities will be available during the bid timeframe.
