Cochran Hall Boiler Replacement Location: Cochran Hall Columbus, MS 39701 Problem: The existing AO Smith boiler is inoperable and needs to be replaced. Mississippi University for Women reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Scope of Work:Provide all materials and labor to remove the existing heating water boiler Provide all labor and materials to install (2) new condensing boilers. See attached boiler schedule. Each new boiler BTU output must be sized appropriately to meet system load demands. See attached drawings. Physical dimensions of the new boilers must also fit into the space made available by the removal of the existing boiler. Use the existing water connections, gas connections, and electrical connections. Re-pipe as needed to accommodate the new boilers. Existing energy management and automation hardware must be reconnected and functional where applicable. Perform start-up on new boilers and set combustion to factory specs. Execute the work to minimize the disruption to the occupants. New system must be fully operational and inspected by a MUW representative before the project is considered complete. All work must be complete within 60 calendar days of Contract award. Contractor to field verify the scope of this project with a representative from the W by contacting the MUW Resources Management Department at 662-329-7126 prior to bid preparation. The exact areas to be included in this scope may be obtained from the MUW Resource Management Department. Project Exclusions: Delays caused by others. Parts and materials found defective during the project not described in the project scope. Any defective material found outside of the scope of work must be brought to the attention of the Project Manager before making any additional repairs
