The Mason City Historic Preservation Commission was awarded a Certified Local Government Grant from the Iowa Economic Development Authority through the Iowa State Historic Preservation Office, to conduct an intensive level survey of the district and adjacent areas to establish a new period of significance for the district, identify additional historic resources within and adjacent to the existing district; and potential new boundaries for the district. The Mason City Historic Preservation Commission is now requesting any consultant qualified as a historic preservation consultant who is interested in working with the Commission on this project to submit a bid. All bid proposals must provide for the completion of work outlined in the grant project's "Scope of Work," "Products," and "Schedule," and "Budget" respectively, attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. Proposals must also include the consultant's professional qualifications (including the personnel who will work on the project) and demonstrate that they have successfully completed a comparable project. Proposals must not exceed 10 pages. The cash value of this project to the consultant is $26,885.
