The City of Mason City is soliciting quotations from contractors for snow and/or ice removal on City sidewalks as part of the City of Mason City's Nuisance Abatement program. The contractor is required to photograph each sidewalk prior to and after snow and/or ice removal or treatment. This requirement is for snow and/or ice removal on sidewalks only. The City will provide a digital camera and rechargeable batteries or will work with the contractor on an alternate means of photography and photo delivery. The successful applicant will possess adequate equipment to remove snow and/or ice in an efficient manner. See "Equipment Schedule". The City of Mason City will be responsible for collection of all payments, and the contractor is to bill the city. The Contractor shall provide a certificate of insurance showing general liability coverage of not less than $1,000,000.00 and property damage coverage of not less than $500,000.00. In addition, the Contractor shall provide a certificate of insurance showing minimum Automobile Liability for Personal Injury, $100,000.00 each person, Personal Injury, $300,000.00 each occurrence, and Property Damage, $25,000.00. All insurance shall remain in force through the term of the agreement. Please contact me with questions or comments concerning the work outlined above at 641-421-3380.
