Renovation of a library in Walnut Creek, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a library.

The prime contractor for this project shall hold a valid Class B General Building Contractor license. The prime contractor shall also have experience in the last five years in building systems projects in excess of five million dollars and experience with public safety. The estimated construction contract cost (Base bid) is $3,508,671. The project includes the demolition of the existing rooftop HVAC system and full system replacement with an all-electric HVAC system. This project also includes the replacement of the roofing system, electrical upgrades including new switchgear, and lighting upgrades in the main library floor. Each bid shall be made on the bid form issued with the specifications, and must be accompanied by bid security in the form of cash, a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond in the amount of the ten percent (10%) of the base bid amount, made payable to "The County of Contra Costa". The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Payment Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price and a Faithful Performance Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price, said bonds to be secured from an admitted surety insurer authorized by the Insurance Commissioner to transact business of insurance in the State of California. Each bond shall be issued on the form set forth in the specifications. Doc note: No partial sets will be issued. There are no assurances to bidders who acquire bid documents from sources other than directly from the Contra Costa County Public Works Department's Online that they will receive all of the project bid documents (including addenda).
