Renovation of a fire / police facility in Stow, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 8,200-square-foot fire / police facility.
Replacement of the Town of Stow Police Station Roof. The work includes the removal and disposal for recycling of approximately 8,200 sq. ft. of asphalt shingles and the installation of ice and water shield, underlayment, flashing, drip edge, and installation of approximately 8,200 sq. ft. "Architectural" style shingles. o Tarps shall be deployed to protect railings and shrubbery from falling debris. o Remove all existing roof shingles and tar paper. o Replace any roof sheathing that is rotten, weathered or broken such that it will not hold nails. Contractor to provide price per square foot to remove and replace. o All eaves and rakes shall have new white 0.32 aluminum drip edge. o First 6 ft of eaves, and 6 feet on both sides of valleys shall have ice and water shield. The remaining sheathing shall be protected with rated and approved underlayment. o All penetrations shall have new flashing or boots installed. o Shingles shall be "Architectural" style with a minimum 30-year warranty. o Color shall be Colonial Slate or equivalent. o Six stainless steel nails per shingle. o All shingles and debris will be cleaned daily and removed to an approved disposal site.
