Renovation of a military facility in Honolulu, Hawaii. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.
Contractor shall provide personnel, management, tools, equipment, parts and materials, transportation, and all necessary services to install an Intrusion Detection System (IDS) within the 5th Geospatial Planning Cell (GPC) area of operation. The installation must comply with Army Regulation AR 380-5 and ensure alarm communication with local Military Police. Secure doorways will be equipped with contact sensors, and interior motion detectors will be strategically placed to cover the entire building using concealed wiring where feasible. Tamper switches and duress alarm functionalities will be integrated as required, and all ICIDS panels and hardware will be installed in a tamper-resistant manner. The installation will be verified through an acceptance test conducted by a government representative, with a detailed test report submitted for recordkeeping. A certification letter from the manufacturer or authorized installer will confirm compliance with AR 380-5. The contractor will work under the direction of the 5th GPC's technical staff, providing up to 8 hours of work per day and necessary project management. Contractor personnel must adhere to Fort Shafter's security policies and standards of conduct. No travel reimbursement will be provided. Questions regarding this solicitation shall be submitted in writing via e-mail to the Contract Specialist at alan.l.henrichson.civ@army.mil within 10 days after the date specified in Block 6 of the SF1449. The Government reserves the right not to respond to questions concerning this solicitation received after the date and time specified for receipt of questions. A summary of questions received and Government responses will be provided by amendment and posted to the SAM website. Minimum Quote Acceptance Period. FAR 52.212-1(c) is amended to 90 calendar days minimum acceptance period. By submittal of a quote, the contractor agrees to hold the prices in its quote firm for 90 calendar days.
