2025 Street Reconstruction Phase 2 - Borough of Turtle Creek This contract shall be subject to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act of August 15, 1961, P.L. 987, as amended, 43 P.S. Section 165 et seq. Workers shall not be paid less than the prevailing minimum wages as set forth in the applicable schedule. All bidders must submit a bid bond, in the amount of 10% of bid, in the form of a certified check, bank cashier's check, or other form of negotiable instrument which is guaranteed by a commercial bank. The Borough reserves the right to accept or reject any form of a bid bond which, in the sole opinion of the Borough does not provide sufficient security for the bid. The Borough reserves the right to reject any or all bids or any portion of any bid, waiver informality or irregularity of any bid or in the bidding and/or negotiate with the receipt of bids. The Borough reserves the right to increase or decrease any or all quantities. No bid will be accepted after the time herein specified whether or not the bidder has a time other than the official Borough time. o bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days once filed with the Borough of Turtle Creek. The Borough of Turtle Creek reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in the bids received. All work under this Contract will be performed on various streets within the Borough of Turtle Creek, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. The Drawings are generally diagrammatical and indicative of the work to be installed. The Contractor shall investigate all conditions affecting his work. The work under this project includes the furnishing of all labor, materials, and equipment required for the performance of all rehabilitation as indicated in the Contract Documents. The work essentially includes, but is not limited to the following: a. General Site Preparation. b. Belgian block removal. c. Roadway leveling with 9.5mm leveling Material. d. Placement of "2A modified stone. e. Placement of 6"25mm Binder Subbase course. f. Placement of two and one half (2 1/2") inch compacted depth of Superpave 19.0mm Binder Material. g. Placement of one and one half (1 1/2") inch compacted depth of Superpave 9.5mm Wearing Material. h. Placement and installation of 6" wedge curbing. i. All required site cleanup and site restoration and landscaping. j. All other related and required work.
