It is the intention of the City of Round Rock to select a prime contractor by using the Competitive Bidding Method for the construction of the Palm House Historical Restoration located at Old Settlers Park 3300 E. Palm Valley Blvd., Round Rock, Texas, 78665. The scope will include replacement of termite damaged and rotted wood framing, removal of existing hipped roof, installation of new siding on North wall, replacement of historically replicated porch columns, tear-off of existing roof and a new wood shake roof installed, rebuilding front wood porch, removal, refurbish and reinstallation of existing interior doors, removal, refurbish and reinstallation of existing windows, refurbish and reinstallation of existing wood shutters, provide and install a replicated front entry door, install new insulation in North wall and floor, provide a new attic hatch and ladder system, provide and install a new electrical service panel/disconnect, electrical circuit wiring, interior lighting and electrical outlets, provide and install a new HVAC heat pump split system. Provide and install new limestone skirting new lattice skirting and access door, install new handicap ramp, install new rear deck, railing and steps, site grading as required, and other items as listed in the scope documents.
