Upon approval, the Owner will issue payment to the Contractor in the amount of 90% of the contracted value of the completed work as of the end of the preceding month, as recommended by the Engineer. Payment for the balance retained will be issued by the Owner upon completion of the work and approval thereof by the Owner's Engineer, City or Governmental approval when necessary, and acceptance by the Owner. Each bid shall be accompanied, in a separate sealed envelope, by a certified or bank check drawn on a bank whose deposits are insured by the F.D.I.C. or an acceptable bid bond in the amount of $4,550.00 and shall be payable without condition to SANITARY AND IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 367 OF SARPY COUNTY, NEBRASKA as a guarantee that the bidder, if successful, will execute the contract and provide an acceptable Contract Bond from an approved surety in the amount of 100 percent of the contract price. No bidder may withdraw his Bid for a period of THIRTY (30) days after the date set for the opening of bids. Doc note: Contractor must give 24-hour notice to Engineer when picking up paper sets.
