Mandatory pre-bid meeting andsite visit. The project consists of construction work involving approximately 150,000 square feet of space within the Juvenile Detention Center (JDC). The scope includes the removal and replacement of all existing fire sprinkler heads with new tamper-proof fire sprinkler heads featuring integrated escutcheons. All sprinkler heads must be UL-listed, institutional grade, and compliant with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) codes. The new sprinkler heads shall be semi-recessed, and contractors are required to furnish and install any necessary extensions to ensure that each head sits flush with the ceiling surface, leaving no visible gaps. The existing sprinkler heads are located in both suspended acoustical ceilings and hard ceilings. The contractor shall be fully responsible for patching, repairing, or replacing any ceiling finishes damaged during the removal and installation process.
