As of 12/3/2025 the owner confirmed this project is put on hold. Changes will be made to the specifications, and this project will be put back out for bid in the next few months. Cherokee County is seeking a qualified pole barn contractor to provide final design services and building of a pole barn that will be utilized for equipment storage for the Emergency Management Department. This garage will be 146 ft long by 60 ft wide with a 16 ft eave height. This garage will have 7 garage doors that will be 14 ft tall by 12 ft wide located on one side of the building. The garage will have one residential door, 36" wide by 6'8" tall to be located, centered, on the side of the building, and one garage dock door located on the opposite side of the building that is to be 48" off the ground level, 10 ft wide, and 10 ft tall. This project will require a 6", 5000 PSI concrete pad with fiber mesh reinforcement as well as drainage outlets in the flooring that will run to the outside of the building to an appropriate underground tank system. This concrete pad will extend to the roadway as shown in the form of a concrete apron. This project will also require electricity to be run to the building. These items are to be included in the scope of work for this project. The inside of the building is to remain unfinished except for an 8' wall material to be located on 3 sides of the inside of the building to accommodate shelving attachments, and electrical trim with outlets and lighting are to be included in the scope of this project. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
