Renovation of a clubhouse / community center in Palm Bay, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center.
The Base Bid scope of work will require the contractor to furnish and install a 40 ton replacement chiller, at the City of Palm Bay Senior Center located at 1275 Culver Dr NE, Palm Bay, FL 32907 and shall include the convenience outlet shown on the drawings and isolation valves replacement as shown, removal of existing chiller, electrical and piping disconnections to the existing chiller, reconnections of all electrical and piping to the new chiller, flushing of existing pipping prior to reconnections, removal and reinstallation of insulation, covers, and supports for all existing or new chilled water piping. Although the 40 ton Carrier chiller is the basis of design, alternates to the 40 Ton Carrier Chiller by other manufactures that can provide an "equivalent" 40 chiller will be considered, provided those manufacturer provide a model number and supporting material proving equivalency are provided and added via addendum as an approved manufacturer. The vendor submitting an alternate chiller shall identify major difference between their alternate chiller compared to the basis of design chiller. Questions are due to the procurement official, through the Bonfire platform, no later than Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at 5:00 P.M. Any questions submitted after will be answered at the discretion of the City.
