Renovation of an industrial development in Little Ferry, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade industrial development.
The Contractor shall supply labor and material to replace the control and entrance panels on both existing Cleaver-Brooks boilers at the Bergen County Utilities Authority facility. The scope includes all work necessary for complete and operational installation. EQUIPMENT SPECIFICATIONS Existing Equipment to be Upgraded: _ Quantity: Two (2) Cleaver-Brooks Boilers _ Model: CB-200X-500 _ Serial Numbers: o Boiler No. 1: L-63990 o Boiler No. 2: L-63989 _ Horsepower: 500 HP each _ Max Pressure: 250 PSI _ Design Pressure: 150 PSI (operating) _ Fuel Type: Fuel Oil or Methane Gas (dual fuel capability) _ Input Capacity: 20,922,000 BTU/hr _ Steam Capacity: Approximately 17,250 lbs/hr _ Blower Motor: 5 HP _ Air Compressor Motor: 5 KW _ Oil Pump Motor: 1 HP _ Year Manufactured: December 1978 (12/78) Electrical Requirements: _ Main Power Supply: 460V / 3O / 60Hz _ Minimum Circuit Ampacity: 34 Amps _ Max Circuit Protection: 50 Amps _ Control Circuit: 1O / 60Hz / 7 Amps _ Oil Heat Circuit: 7 Amps This Public Works Project Involves the Replacement of Control and Entrance Panels on Two (2) Cleaver-brooks Boilers at the Bergen County Utilities Authority Facility. Work Includes Installation of Nema 1 Cabinets, Rm-7800l Programmers With Uv Scanners, Air Compressor Contractors and Fuses, Blower Motor Starters and Fuses, Manual Fuel Selector Switches, Limiting Potentiometers, and Implementation of Updated Cleaver-brooks Wiring Prints. All Work Shall Be Performed at Prevailing Wage Rates in Accordance With the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act. This Project is Classified as Public Works Construction Under N.j.s.a. 40a:11-2 and Requires Contractors to Be Properly Registered and Classified for the Type of Work Being Performed. All Bidders Must Provide Proof of Registration With the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development Pursuant to N.j.s.a. 34:11-56.48 Et Seq. (Public Works Contractor Registration Act). Bidders Must Submit With Their Bid a Complete List of All Subcontractors Who Will Perform Work on This Project if the Subcontractor's Portion Exceeds 10% of the Total Bid Amount or $25,000, Whichever is Less. Pursuant to N.j.s.a. 34:11-56.51 Et Seq., Contractors and Subcontractors Must Participate in Registered Apprenticeship Programs When Performing Public Works Projects. This Contract is Subject to the Mandatory Affirmative Action Requirements of P.l. 1975, C. 127 (N.j.a.c. 17:27). Bidder Shall Submit With the Bid an Electronic Bid Bond or Electronic Copy of a Bid Bond in the Amount of Ten Percent (10%) of the Total Price Bid, but Not in Excess of $20,000.00, Payable Unconditionally to the Bergen County Utilities Authority, Along With a Certificate (Consent of Surety) With Power of Attorney From a Surety Company Authorized to Do Business in the State of New Jersey. The Successful Bidder's Surety Will Furnish a Consolidated Performance and Payment Bond in Amounts of 100% of the Contract Amount. If the Bidder Submits a Certified Check or Cashier's Check, It Must Be Received at the Division of Purchasing No Later Than the Bid Opening Time at Foot of Mehrhof Road, P.o. Box 9, Little Ferry, Nj 07643.
