In addition, the scope of the project includes replacement of vertical timbers in high impact locations with a steel plate system and composite fenders at both ferry terminals; extension of existing vertical fenders at both ferry terminals by 600 mm. The Contract allows four (4) 56-hour closures, so the ferry service will be closed for this period. However, these four closures are separated from each other by a minimum of three days. In addition, ten (10) nighttime closures are permitted to complete the Contract work. The service provider will provide an administration office and a full complement of staff to provide contract administration and inspection services. The project will be administered using the Contract Administration System (CMS). Construction work is permitted the daytime and the nighttime. The assignment is planned over a single year, starting in November 2025 and will be completed on March 30, 2026.
