Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The City of Gaithersburg ("City") desires to contract with an experienced and qualified Contractor for the E. Diamond Pedestrian Improvements project.. The funding for this project will be through the Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG) from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Federal legislation and regulations have established national objectives of benefiting low and moderate income persons under the Code of Federal Regulations. The City has a goal to remove the existing pavers and portions of concrete in order to improve accessibility along E. Diamond Avenue area of Olde Towne Gaithersburg as shown in Exhibit A. The areas shown in lightblue are approximate pavement replacement areas and the areas in pink are approximate concrete replacement areas. The improvements must meet ADA requirements to the fullest extent. The contract work is to be completed by March 30, 2026. The Contractor shall work with the adjacent properties to maintain access.
