This project addresses the replacement of the outdated Sheriffs Office headquarters at 30 Church Street. The 105-year-old former hospital no longer meets operational needs due to structural deficiencies, HVAC issues, ADA non-compliance, and persistent mold, all of which compromise public safety and law enforcement functionality. The project is included in the County's 2026 -2031 CIP Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of March 5, 2026. information regarding design firm, construction manager, and general contractor has not been released. Planning is scheduled for FY 2027, with construction FY 2028. Further details regarding firm construction and completion timelines have not been disclosed. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
