Sealed bids are invited for the construction of the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Wytheville Regional Animal Health Laboratory Incinerator Canopy, project code: 301-B1301-001 at 250 Cassell Road, Wytheville, VA. The project is generally described as a pre-engineered canopy structure over the existing incinerator and receiving dock area. The existing sanitary waste line that is currently located under the incinerator will be relocated and the asphalt paving will be replaced with concrete paving. Bidders must submit sealed bids electronically through eVA or at 102 Governor Street, Richmond VA 23219. A Bid Bond is not required. Bidders must be registered vendors in eVA. Procedures for submitting a bid, claiming an error, withdrawal of bids and other information are included in the Instructions to Bidders. Attendance at a pre-bid conference at the project site is mandatory for those submitting a bid. The contract will be awarded on a lump sum basis including any properly submitted and received bid modifications as determined by the Owner. Contractor registration is required in accordance with Section 54.1-1103 of the Code of Virginia. Question Deadline 10/16/2025: Discrepancies, conflicts, errors, omissions or doubts as to the meaning of the Contract Documents shall be communicated in writing to the A/E for interpretation. Bidders must so act to assure that questions reach the A/E at least six (6) days prior to the time set for the receipt of bids to allow a sufficient time for an addendum to reach all bidders before the submission of their bids.
