Demolition, site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Wytheville, Virginia. Completed plans call for the demolition of a one-story above grade water / sewer project; and one-story above grade water / sewer project.

The work includes providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the completion of the work shown on the drawings and described in the specifications including, but not necessarily limited to, the following: demolition of existing secondary clarifiers No. 3 and 4 and piping as shown on contract drawings; provide and install all erosion control measures as shown in the contract drawings; excavation, backfilling, and restoration; construction of two new, cast-in-place concrete, 60-ft diameter secondary clarifier tanks with components to include, but not limited to, new 304SS mechanism, control panel, center unit drive, and FRP baffles and weirs; provide new 16-inch clarifier influent, 14-inch clarifier effluent, 8-inch sludge, and 6-inch scum and 6-inch drain below grade piping between the new clarifier and existing tie-in locations as indicated on contract drawings; provide new 8-inch RAS and 6-inch WAS below grade piping per contract drawings; provide new electrical equipment including Clarifier Control Panels, associated wiring, conduits and connections required to power and operate the panels and equipment; provide all valves, bends, couplings as shown on the contract drawings or as needed. Bids must be submitted on the official Bid Form or an exact copy in hard copy format. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security of five percent of the base bid. The successful bidder must furnish construction performance and payment bonds for the full contract price. The successful bidder will be required to comply with Federal Government Equal Employment Opportunity clauses, and the Owner encourages participation from Disadvantaged Business Enterprises and/or Minority or Women Business Enterprises. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive any and all informalities, and the right to disregard all nonconforming, non-responsive, or conditional Bids. This is a unit price bid as described in the Instructions to Bidders. No bidder may withdraw his bid within forty five calendar days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
