Slopewalls and prestressed precast concrete Ibeams. In addition to these repairs, the project includes converting the existing stub abutments to semi-integral abutments. This conversion involves removing the bridge approaches, portions of the deck near the joints, the diaphragms at the abutments, and the backwalls. The existing bearings will be jacked, removed, and replaced with new ones. Following this, the backwalls will be reconstructed, a new concrete diaphragm will be installed, and the removed portion of the deck will be replaced. New approach slabs and PCC pavement connector will be constructed. Terminal barrier guardrail will be removed and replaced at each corner of the bridge.
