Bids are requested for the North Avenue Waterline Replacement project, which includes approximately 3,010 feet of 8-inch PVC waterline and ancillary work. Bidding information and contract documents, including drawings and technical specifications, are available for review at Olney City Hall. Copies of the contract documents can be obtained by depositing $50.00 with Charleston Engineering, Inc.; the deposit is non-refundable. A certified check, bank draft, negotiable U.S. Government bonds (at par value), or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid must be submitted with each bid. Contractors must not pay less than the prevailing rate of wages to all laborers, workmen, and mechanics performing work under the contract and shall comply with the Illinois Wages of Employees on Public Works Act.
