Site work and new construction of a playground / park / athletic field in Minot, North Dakota. Completed plans call for the construction of a 1,600-square-foot, one-story above grade playground / park / athletic field.

Separate Bids will be received for the following Contracts: Contract No. 1 – General Construction: • Construct an approximately 1,600 SF masonry bearing wall, thickened edge floating slab on grade bathroom and shower facility on the grounds of the ND State Fair, Minot ND, including all earthwork, site work, and all work indicated on the architectural, civil, and structural plans. • Removal and disposal off site of soil, haul, place, and test granular replacement material. • All work to complete the water and sanitary sewer utility connections to existing utilities and site restoration work (aggregate surface, minor asphalt pavement restoration, small areas of sidewalks). • Project schedule coordination, including coordination with electrical transformer installation and propane tank and piping installation procured by the owner under separate contracts. • Coordination of the overall project schedule control, including creation of an overall work schedule per specification 01 10 00 and coordination of Owner-procured work in accordance with the Supplemental Conditions. Contract No. 2 – Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) Construction: • Construct all plumbing systems including water distribution, waste piping, toilet and shower facilities, and exterior utility connections to main service connections provided by the General Contractor; coordination with Owner-provided propane tank and underground piping. • Construct all electrical systems, including all work required to connect to the existing power source, coordination with installation of new transformer by provided by XCEL Energy under separate contract with the Owner. • Assist the general contractor to establish an overall project schedule and adhere to the schedule upon acceptance. Contract No. 3 – Combined General, Mechanical, and Electrical Construction: • Work includes all construction required to fully complete the Project as generally described for Contracts No. 1 and No. 2. All Bids are to be submitted on the basis of cash payment for the Work, on a Bid Form furnished by the Engineer in a securely sealed Bidding envelope prepared as outlined in the Instruction to Bidders contained within the Project Manual. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a separate envelope containing a Bidder’s Bond, payable to North Dakota State Fair, in a sum equal to five percent (5%) of the full amount of the Bid, executed by the Bidder as principal and by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of North Dakota, conditioned that if the principal’s Bid be accepted and the contract awarded within ten (10) days after Notice of Award, will execute and effect a Contract in accordance with the terms of his Bid and a Contractor’s Bond as required by the laws of the State of North Dakota and the regulations and determinations of North Dakota State Fair. Each bid shall contain a copy of the license or certificate of renewal thereof issued by the Secretary of State enclosed in the required bid bond envelope. All Bidders must be licensed for the highest amount of their Bid, as provided by Section 43-07-05 of the North Dakota Century Code. Cost of preparation of Bids shall be borne by the Bidder. Contracts shall be awarded on the basis of the lowest and best Bid submitted by a responsible and responsive Bidder deemed most favorable to the North Dakota State Fair’s interest. No Bid will be read or considered which does not fully comply with the Bid preparation requirements. Any deficient Bid submitted will be returned to the Bidder unopened. North Dakota State Fair reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive any informality in any Bid, and to hold all Bids for a period not to exceed thirty (30) days from the date of opening Bids. All Work shall be done according to the Bidding Documents.
