The work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to construct the proposed Fulwood Park Street & Drainage Improvements as shown on the construction drawings. In general, construction consists of removing existing drainage structures, installing proposed erosion control, drainage structures, and rip rap; milling, curb & gutter replacement, and resurfacing all streets within the park and all associated measures for the complete project. Work must reach substantial completion within 45 consecutive calendar days, and be complete and ready for contract close-out within 60 consecutive calendar days. All work shall be completed in accordance with the plans and specifications. The work will be awarded in one contract. Question Deadline 10/17/2025 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Pre-qualification requirements: Any Contractor submitting a bid must be a pre-qualified Georgia Department of Transportation Contractor or a Registered Georgia Department of Transportation Subcontractor. License numbers must be written on the face of the bid envelope. Prequalification may be required of Bidders prior to the award of contract. Detailed written evidence such as financial data, bonding capacity, previous experience, and present commitments may be necessary. All bid forms must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or a certified cashier's check in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Participation in the federal work authorization program (E-Verify) is mandatory, and an Affidavit of Compliance with O.C.G.A. 13-10-91 must be submitted with the Bid.
