Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Tifton, Georgia. Completed plans call for the demolition of a one-story above grade bridge / tunnel.

The work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to construct the Omega-Eldorado Road Overflow Bridge Replacement Over Little River as shown on the construction drawings. Construction includes removal of existing bridge and drainage structures; installation of a new 32 wide, 120 foot long bridge structure utilizing pre-stressed concrete slabs, PSC pilings, approach slabs, base and paving construction, grading, striping, guard rails, erosion control, grassing, and all associated appurtenances required for a complete project, as outlined in the construction drawings and specifications. The work will be awarded in one contract with a 120 consecutive calendar day construction schedule. Sealed bids must comply with all requirements specified, including mandatory attendance at the pre-bid conference, and submission procedures outlined for plans and bidding documents. All bid forms must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or certified cashier's check in an amount not less than ten percent of the amount bid. Successful bidders will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent of the contract amount. All qualifying contractors and subcontractors must register and participate in the federal work authorization program known as E-Verify to verify the work eligibility of new employees. Bids must include an Affidavit of Compliance with O.C.G.A. 13-10-91. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive informalities. Pre-qualification may be required prior to the award of contract. At the owner's request, detailed written evidence such as financial data, bonding capacity, previous experience, and present commitments may be necessary to assist in determining contractor qualifications. Any contractor submitting a bid must be a pre-qualified Georgia Department of Transportation contractor, with a license number clearly written on the face of the bid envelope. No bid will be opened unless the license number is shown. Question Deadline 10/20/2025: All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
