Renovation of an educational facility in Marengo, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The Office of the Board of Education, Marengo-Union Elementary CSD #165, 816 E Grant Hwy, Marengo, IL 60152 will receive bids for the 2026 Locust Elementary Renovations Project for Locust Elementary School, 539 Locust Street, Marengo, IL 60152. Construction Contract: Bids will be received for the following Work: The renovation includes Art and Music Classroom renovations and ADA ramp addition. Minor renovation w/ new ceiling and lighting to (4) classrooms. Replace existing HVAC system in the renovated areas along with Main and Auxiliary Gym with new RTUs & related ductwork, piping & electrical work. This project includes general construction plus HVAC, electrical, and plumbing work. Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 5% of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities As of October 6, 2025, construction is anticipated to start June 5, 2026and substantial completion is scheduled for August 10, 2026. This project is tax exempt.
