Site work for a water / sewer project in Newport, Tennessee. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade water / sewer project.
The project involves a gravity sewer extension to connect the new Smoky Mountain Innovation Park to the trunk line of Newport Utilities. The work includes installation of a combination of 8-, 12-, and 16-inch PVC and Ductile sewer mains, covering a total length of 8,568 feet and consisting of 48 manholes. Bidders must comply with restrictions and requirements due to funding from the American Rescue Plan Act, Coronavirus State and Local Recovery Fund grant funding, as well as other federal requirements. Contractors and subcontractors must not appear on the Sam.gov disbarment list, and a detailed listing of all subcontractors and documentation of minimum qualifications in accordance with the Contract Documents is required. Mark-ups on subcontractor work or Cost Plus Overhead are disallowed for reimbursement. All bids must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check for five percent (5%) of the total bid amount, and the successful bidder must provide a performance bond for the full amount of the bid. Contractors must be licensed as required, and the owner reserves the right to waive informalities or reject any or all bids. The project encourages participation from small, minority owned firms, and women's business enterprises, and includes specific federal equal opportunity requirements. Question Deadline 10/15/2025
