The project is the City of Nome, Texas - ARPA Elevated Water Storage Tank Improvements Project. The work involves furnishing necessary materials, equipment, superintendence, and labor for the installation of an all-welded steel AWWA D-100-05 elevated water storage tank. The tank must have a base bid capacity of 50,000 gallons, with additive alternate bids for 75,000 gallons and 100,000 gallons capacities. The tank should be of a column supported (legged) type design and include all improvements necessary for a complete installation as shown in the plans and as required in the contract documents and technical specifications. Bids must be sealed and accompanied by a bid security of not less than five percent of the total bid (either a certified/cashier's check drawn on a Texas bank payable to the City of Nome, or a bond executed by a surety company authorized in Texas). Bids must be submitted on the form in the Contract Documents, and a Contractor Qualification Statement must also accompany each bid. Payment and performance bonds are required from the successful bidder. Bids may be held for up to 60 days to review and investigate qualifications before awarding the contract. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in the bids received.
