Site work, paving and new construction of a fire / police facility in Wendell, North Carolina. Design plans call for the construction of a 17,700-square-foot, 44-space fire / police facility.

Plans call for the new build, of an approximately 17,700 sq ft public safety building. As of April 2026, the project is in design and schematic design is expected to go before the Wake County Board of Commissioners in spring of 2026. An RFQ was issued for CMAR and is due March 5, 2026. Construction is expected to begin in the fall 2026. The CMAR selection process is planned to be finalized during the Schematic Design Phase of the projects. The complexity of these projects includes, but is not limited to, complex site development including new utilities, well and septic systems (Wendell North), driveways, possible road widenings, retaining walls, stormwater BMP’s, parking areas to include EV parking, site and building sustainability measures, and complex multistory building (Lynn Road). These complexities necessitate the expertise of a CMAR, which will bring significant value to the project through constructability recommendations, cost control, schedule control and the collaborative efforts that this delivery method offers.
