Renovation of a mixed-use development in Asheville, North Carolina. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a stadium; and educational facility.
Buncombe County is seeking candidates interested in designing concrete repairs in the athletic stadium at Asheville High School. Prior experience in concrete repairs is encouraged. Buncombe County encourages submittals from minority businesses by providing certified minorities an equal opportunity to participate in all aspects of the RFQ process. The "home" side of the stadium, located adjacent to Victoria Rd, is a concrete structure with mounted aluminum seating. The concrete has deficiencies such as spalling, cracks, and sealant failures. These deficiencies are leading to water intrusion which is amplifying the deterioration. Services provided by the firm or individual must include, but are not limited to: o Investigating the cause of the deficiencies. o Designing repairs to mitigate the deterioration. o Providing schematic design, design development, and construction documents for the project. o Bid administration. o Construction administration. o Compilation of close out documents Questions about the submittal process may be asked by contacting the General Services Department of Buncombe County at (828) 250-4233 or generalservices@buncombenc.gov.
