The City of Asheville, North Carolina is seeking Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) for Fundamental and Enhanced Commissioning Services for the new Fire Station 9 project-including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, building envelope, photovoltaic and LEED. The construction delivery method for this project is anticipated to be Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR). This station will be a replacement for the current Fire Station 9 at 749 Fairview Road. The property at 711 Fairview Road currently is the location of an Asheville Police Department Resource Center, and is adjacent to the City-owned Murphy-Oakley Park. The existing Police Resource Center will be demolished and a new two company fire station will be constructed on the site. Prospective Consultants are notified of a City policy that prohibits contracting with persons or firms who are delinquent in the payment of ad valorem taxes owed to the City of Asheville. All submittals must be submitted in the specified format. The City of Asheville is a drug-free workplace employer and requires contractors/vendors entering into a contract to provide a drug-free workplace during the performance of the contract. Notification to employees regarding the prohibition of unlawful manufacture, distribution, dispensation, possession or use of a controlled substance in the workplace and appropriate actions for violations is required.
