The work to be done consists of furnishing all materials, equipment, and labor necessary to construct the Lime Slurry Feed System, consisting of a Packaged Lime Storage Tank and Metering Pump Enclosure with associated equipment, Concrete Containment and Tank Pad, Yard Piping, Site Work and Electrical Work. Bidders must comply with all relevant acts and requirements including Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Davis-Bacon Act, the Anti-Kickback Act, the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act, and 40 CFR 33.240. Efforts must be made to use small and minority owned businesses. Bidders must be official plan holders and on the project's plan holders list for the bid to be considered, maintained by Duncan Parnell. Security must be deposited with all bids in the form of a certified check or bid bond, not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid. A one hundred percent (100%) payment bond and performance bond will be required. Contractor must provide relevant insurance for the insured property during construction. Bidders must comply with all applicable State and Federal requirements identified in the bid documents, including Davis-Bacon and "American Iron and Steel" provisions. No bid will be considered unless the bidder is legally qualified under the provisions of the South Carolina Contractor's Licensing Law with a classification of WP. No bidder may withdraw the bid within 90 days after the actual date of opening thereof. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids. The bid documents will only be modified by written addenda. At this time a notice to proceed is expected in December 2025 or January 2026 timeframe.
