Renovation of an educational facility in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade educational facility.
Renovations at Holland and Northcrest, to be completed in strict accordance with the drawings and specifications as prepared and on file. The project will receive bids from a single prime contractor. Each bid proposal shall include all labor, material, and services necessary to complete the projects. Plans, specifications, instructions to bidders, and bid forms are available for pick up or review. All awarded contracts are conditioned upon obtaining sufficient financing, and Fort Wayne Community Schools reserves the right to reject any and all bids or waive informalities, irregularities, and/or inconsistencies. Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount are to be provided by the successful bidder no later than ten (10) days after contract execution, and these bonds must remain in effect for twelve (12) months after Substantial Completion. Bid instructions require a refundable deposit for bid documents, the presence of a bid bond or check for 5% of the bid, and compliance with submission deadlines. Bids may not be modified, withdrawn, or cancelled for sixty (60) days after the deadline without consent. Contracts may be assigned to a non-profit building corporation controlled by Fort Wayne Community Schools. Non-successful bidders may receive a refund of their deposit upon timely return of bid documents in good condition. Shipping and handling charges apply for document delivery.
