Sealed proposals will be received by the Alabama Community College System at Wallace State Community College for the Precision Machining Building at the Hanceville Campus. Bids must be accompanied by a cashier's check or bid bond payable to the Alabama Community College System in an amount not less than five percent of the bid but not more than $10,000. Performance and Payment Bonds and evidence of insurance as required in the bid documents are required at contract signing. Bids must be submitted on forms furnished by the Architect or copies thereof. All bidders bidding in amounts exceeding that established by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors must be licensed under the provisions of Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975, and must show evidence of license before bidding, with the license number displayed on the outside of the sealed envelope. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errors if it is in the Owner's judgement to promote the best interests of the Owner. Pre-qualification Requirements: Written prequalification procedures and criteria are available for review on the ACCS website or by contacting the Architect. Only general contractors who have been approved to bid pursuant to prequalification procedures and criteria established by the Owner will be eligible to bid for the Project.
