Renovation of an educational facility in Carmel, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade educational facility.
The project consists of renovation of existing space to restrooms. To bid on this project, the Bidder is required to possess a State of California contractor's license B, which must remain active and in good standing throughout the contract term. Bidders must also be registered as a public works contractor with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to the Labor Code. Each bid must be on the form provided, accompanied by a bid bond, cashier's check, or certified check in the amount of ten percent of the total bid price, as a guarantee to enter into a contract within seven calendar days after the Notice of Award. A 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond are required from the successful Bidder. A mandatory pre-bid conference and site visit must be attended as specified. Bidders and subcontractors must pay workers no less than prevailing wage rates as determined by the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations. The District will award the contract, if at all, to the lowest responsive responsible bidder based only on the base bid amount. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or waive any irregularity in bids received.
