The City of Miami Gardens wishes to demolish the existing dilapidated fence and construct a new prefabricated concrete fence along the west side of NW 27th AVE between 21241 NW 27th Ct and 2720 NW 208th Terrace. The total length of the new fence is approximately 1415'-0" long and 8'-0" tall. All prospective bidders/respondents are hereby cautioned not to contact any member of the city of miami gardens staff or officials other than the specified contact person. Minority-owned, woman-owned, and small business enterprises are encouraged to respond to this solicitation. The work of the contract shall include the following services: o Demolish the existing dilapidated fence and vegetation along NW 27th Ave. o Existing fence is approximately 1415'-0" long. Field verify for exact dimensions. Clear all construction debris in the area. o Existing fence located on private property. All homeowners have signed hold harmless access agreements with City. o Contractor shall notify homeowners prior to construction commencement. o Clear and grub all plant material along area of work. Trim back any plant material that extends from private property. o Construct new pre-fabricated concrete fence. See attached survey outlining the fence location. o Contractor shall provide all necessary permits, including City and Public Works permits. o Contractor shall provide all necessary equipment for Maintenance of Traffic. o Contractor shall remove any loose material and thoroughly clean surface prior to painting or applying skim coat. o ADD ALTERNATE 1: Entire facade of wall facing NW 27th AVE to receive 1 coat of primer and 2 coats of paint. Color selection shall be provided by City (TBD). o Existing utility covers, light poles, traffic signs, trash receptacles, benches, etc. to remain undisturbed and protected throughout construction. o All existing catch basins and storm water inlets adjacent to or internal to the site shall be protected during demolition and construction work with filter fabric and maintained in-tact for future drainage. o Coordination with adjacent residences will be required for access to property where work will be performed. o Provide Maintenance ofTraffic (MOT) plan(s) indicating temporary traffic control and sidewalk closure or any work impacting City's right-of-way (roadways, sidewalks, swale, etc.). GC is to secure all Permits as required from FDOT or City Public Works Department. Staging and storing equipment or materials are not permitted on City's right-of-way. oAll existing trees shall be provided with tree protection structures and remain intact at their existing locations on the site and not be disturbed during the demolition and clearing operations. Any and all trees damaged or destroyed during the demolition shall be replaced in kind with a replacement tree of similar size and caliper as directed by the City at no additional cost to the City of Miami Gardens per MDCD DERM requirements with a permit. GENERAL LOCATION OF WORK 3.2.1 If property (public or private) is damaged while contractor is performing work specified or is removed for the termination of the work, it shall be repaired or replaced at the expense of the contractor in a manner acceptable to the City of Miami Gardens prior to the final acceptance of the work.
