Site work for a water / sewer project in Alice, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade water / sewer project.
Drainage improvements in the K-Bar Ranch Colonia of Jim Wells County will include the installation of approximately 6,785 LF of HP pipe, 40,830 CY of pond excavation, 16,279 LF of roadside ditch improvements, junction boxes, and associated appurtenances and subsidiary work as shown on the construction plans. Bids are invited for these items and quantities of work. Each bid for contracts exceeding $100,000 must be accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety, or a certified check, bank draft payable to Jim Wells County, or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds. The project will be financed with assistance from the General Land Office (GLO) under the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant - Mitigation (CDBG-MIT) program, and is subject to all Federal and State laws and regulations. The federally determined prevailing Davis-Bacon and Related Acts wage rate must be paid. The successful bidder must ensure non-discrimination in employment. All contractors and subcontractors must be cleared (not suspended or debarred). Minority Business Enterprises, Small Business Enterprises, Women Business Enterprises, Section 3 Businesses, and labor surplus area firms are encouraged to submit bids. Jim Wells County reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive any informalities.
