Demolition, site work and addition to a laboratory facility in Alice, Texas. Completed plans call for the addition of a laboratory facility; for the demolition of a laboratory facility; and for site work for a laboratory facility.
Question Deadline 07/10/2025 at 11:59 PM CT The project consists of the proposed construction of a single-story pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) addition and pavements at the site located at Texas A&M University AgriLife Center at Stephenville in Stephenville, Texas, in Erath County. It is understood that the proposed PEMB addition will have a gross area of approximately 6,000 square feet. Our understanding of the existing elevations at our boring locations is based on point elevations provided by the Gessner Engineering Survey Department on September 10, 2024. Based on these elevations, the topographic high and low within the project site are 1309.62 and 1309.22 feet, respectively. Our scope of work was as follows: 1. Drilling 4 test borings at the selected locations within the project site to evaluate the subsurface arrangement of strata and groundwater conditions. 2. Performing geotechnical laboratory tests on recovered samples to evaluate the physical and engineering properties of the strata observed. 3. Engineering analysis to develop recommendations with respect to: Site, subgrade, and fill preparation Foundation design and construction Pavement design and construction A. The Work of this Contract comprises the general construction of a renovation of approximately 5,000 square feet of an existing pre-engineered metal building with new biosafety laboratories and support spaces located on the AgriLife for the Board of Regents of The Texas A&M University System. B. The Drawings and Specifications do not necessarily indicate or describe all Work required for completion of Project. C. The Contract Documents describe the essential elements sufficiently to determine the scope of the Project. D. Provide all items required for complete operating systems including items not necessarily shown in these Contract Documents, but that can be reasonably inferred as being required for a complete operating system. E. The Drawings and Specifications indicate the basic quality of material and quality of construction required for the entire Project.
