Renovation of a detention facility in Cincinnati, Ohio. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade detention facility.
The work includes providing materials, equipment, tools, and services for general, plumbing, fire protection, heating, ventilating and air conditioning, and electrical work for construction involving demolition of existing walls, doors, finishes, and casework, as well as construction of new walls, doors, finishes, and casework. Contractors must coordinate their work, apply for and obtain all necessary permits, and are responsible for background checks and security clearances for their employees. Work must occur during normal business hours, with efforts made to minimize disruption to the owner's ongoing operations. Contractors are responsible for protecting work areas, keeping accurate records, and submitting operation and maintenance manuals. The project requires compliance with applicable codes, standards, and owner's security protocols, including controlling access and identification of all personnel. A minimum 1-year labor and materials warranty is required for all work. The project includes administrative requirements such as preconstruction meetings, job progress meetings, maintenance of quality standards, and coordination for storage and scheduling of work and material deliveries.
