Description

Site work and new construction of an office development in Sumter, South Carolina. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a 49,975-square-foot office development.

As of March 2026, the project received rezoning approval from the city in December 2025. An awarded architectural firm has not been formally selected yet; the owner is in the negotiation phase. Information regarding general contractor selection has not been disclosed. A firm construction schedule has not been established. ETV Sumter is one of the network's four regional studios that produce a variety of community programming and educational content. SCETV has received a state appropriation of $22,750,000 to build a new multi-use studio building. There is $2,500,000 set aside for broadcast technology. We have another request for demolition of buildings at the site. Estimated expense is $253,000. We are seeking to contract an architect to design the new facility.
