Reference Number 0000400114 The City of Madison Heights is soliciting quotes from qualified contractors for the Senior Snow Removal Program. Under this program, snow removal services would be provided to qualified Madison Heights seniors and those with disabilities under the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA), funded by the US Department of the Treasury through the Oakland Livingston Human Service Agency (OLHSA), as funding permits. The method of snow removal may be shoveling, blowing, or brooming. Plowing may be used on fully paved or concrete driveways only. Salt may be spread on icy areas to improve safety and accessibility, with care taken to avoid damage to grass, landscaping, or concrete. The areas to be cleared include: the driveway from the garage to the street, the public sidewalk, the porch, and the service walk to the porch. The sizes of driveways vary; however, the majority will be approximately 10' x 90. Any bid may be withdrawn by giving written notice to the Purchasing Agent before stated closing time. After the stated closing time, no bid may be withdrawn or canceled for a period of ninety (90) days after said closing time. The City reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to reject any/or all bids, to waive any irregularities and technical defects contained therein, to award the bid in its entirety, in part or not at all and/or to determine which bid is the lowest and/or best to enter into a Contract, as it may deem to be in the best interest of the City.
