The project provides for the modification of the existing irrigation system to implement a centralized control system of irrigation components. A Central Integrated Controls System will need to be installed and run out to all Individual Control modules comprising of about: 250 Greens, Tees and fairway sprinklers, 110 Fairway control Valves, 100 quick couplers, 20 Greens and Tees isolation valves and boxes, and 35,000 ft of control wiring with splice boxes and surge devices. The work also includes demolition and abandonment of existing hydraulic controls stations, pads, and hydraulic control lines. All control wires must be buried; sod cut and trenched, including the restoration of disrupted pathing as well as any other incidentals necessary to complete the specified work in accordance with the Contract Plans, Contract Provisions, and the Standard Specifications. All bid submissions must be completed electronically through the Virtual Bid system. Bidders must register as a bidder on Virtual Bid, request access to the open bid, and, once approved, view and complete their submission. Bidders are solely responsible for obtaining and checking all addenda. All work performed will be subject to Washington State prevailing wage rates. Each bid must be accompanied by a cash, cashier's check, certified check, and/or bid bond in an amount equal to at least 5% of the total bid price. Electronic bid bonds in certified PDF or bid bond token form will be accepted through Virtual Bid. Cash, cashier's check, and physical bonds must be submitted in person by the bid submittal deadline. All contractors must be licensed in the State of Washington to conduct business. The successful bidder is required to comply with all applicable provisions of WSDOT Standard Specifications for Road, Bridge, and Municipal Construction 2025 Edition. The City Council reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids, accept the bid deemed in the best interest of the City, waive any informalities in the bidding, and delay the award until a regular Council meeting. Small, Minority and Women-owned firms are encouraged to submit bids.
