Site work for a water / sewer project in University City, Missouri. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade water / sewer project.
The work love his contract consists of the construction of 77 lineal feet of pipe sewer, 12-inches in diameter and appurtenances to be constructed in an area located east of Interstate 170 and north of Olive Boulevard, in the City of University City, Missouri. The Engineers Opinion of Probable Cost for this project is $121,000. The proposal shall be accompanied by a certified check or cashiers check on a bank or trust company in St. Louis County or in the City of St. Louis or by a bidders bond, for an amount not less than five (5%) percent of the bid amount as bid security to the District. The District reserves the right to reject any and all bids, offers or proposals submitted, to accept the proposal that it deems to be to its best interest, or to advertise for new bids. The District reserves the right to defer the acceptance of any proposal and the award and execution of a contract for a period not exceeding ninety (90) days after the date of opening the bids. The successful bidder, whose proposal has been accepted, shall sign the Contract in duplicate, and return the signed documents within fifteen (15) days after the date of their receipt. At the same time the successful bidder shall also file with the District two (2) copies of both a Contract Bond for one hundred (100%) percent of the contract amount, and an acceptable Certificate of Insurance and Insurance Binder or policy for the required insurance coverage. The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District (District) has established subcontractor goals for Building Construction (21% MBE and 10% WBE) and Non-Building Construction (10% MBE and 10% WBE) in the amount of $50,000 or more. Workforce goal requirements of 37% Minority, 11% Women, and 46% Apprentice (when applicable) apply to contracts in the amount of $500,000 or more. The requirements are further explained in the attached Business Diversity Utilization and Workforce Program document.
