The work consists of the construction of approximately 410 lineal feet of storm pipe sewers, varying in size from 12-inch to 36-inch in diameter, along with the required appurtenances to be constructed. The project is located east of I-170 and south of Olive Street, in the City of University City, Missouri. 1. The work to be done under this contract consists of the construction of approximately 410 lineal feet of pipe sewers, varying in size from 12" to 36" in diameter and appurtenances to be constructed in an area located east of I-170 and south of Olive Street, in the City of University City, Missouri. 2. The work consists of furnishing all material, labor, tools, equipment and supervision necessary for the construction of the storm sewers and appurtenances, in accordance with all the requirements of these specifications, and the drawings made a part thereof. 3. The manufacturer of pipe equal to or greater than 36" diameter must be listed on the Bid Proposal Form. Only the listed manufacturer may be used. Failing to meet this requirement may result in rejection of bid. 4. This project will be built under the provisions of the "Standard Construction Specifications of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District," dated 2023, except as modified herein. The Engineers Opinion of Probable Cost for this project is $665,000. Completion - (230) calendar days The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District (District) has established subcontractor goals for Building Construction (21% MBE and 10% WBE) and Non-Building Construction (10% MBE and 10% WBE) in the amount of $50,000 or more. Workforce goal requirements of 37% Minority, 11% Women, and 46% Apprentice (when applicable) apply to contracts in the amount of $500,000 or more. The requirements are further explained in the attached Business Diversity Utilization and Workforce Program document. Question Deadline 02/06/2026 Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary in response to prospective bidders' questions prior to the opening of the Bid will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all pre-qualified bidders who have purchased plans and specifications. Questions received less than 5 days prior to the date for opening the bids will not be answered. Only questions answered by formal written addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect.
