Seeking sealed bids from qualified contractors to replace the infield portion of Brooks Park Baseball Field located at 0 Oak Street in Harwich. The project includes all materials and labor. Deadline for Written Questions October 22, 2025, By 12:00 p.m. Via email only to: ebeebe@harwich-ma.gov The Town is of Harwich is requesting bids for the following: Brooks Park Infield Replacement. The work performed under this contract includes but is not limited to removal and replacement of infield of baseball field, approximately 40' on foul lines and 20' around the back are to be removed and reconstructed to meet Major League regulations, including new pitchers mound, home plate, bases and all anchors to new elevations. Grass to be removed and replaced. Specifications 1- Full survey and grade set up 2- Lay out infield to Major League regulation. Includes installing new pitchers mound, home plate, bases, and all base anchors to new elevation and location. 3- Removal of 1 1/2" grass, thatch, and organic material off entire infield, 40' foul lines, and 20' of grass along the perimeter of the outfield. Discarded materials to be stockpiled at an on site location. All waste debris will then be transported to an off site location by others. All machines used on the field will be low ground pressure to avoid any damage to existing field and grass areas. 4- Rough grade grass areas with low ground pressure machine utilizing a laser guiding system. Once rough grading is complete, soil will be tilled to the depth of 6" using a Blecavator soil processor. This process will remove rocks and will provide existing soil with a uniform consistent profile for a healthier growing environment. Once subgraded and bleced 2 to 3" of a 2mm and will be graded and then tilled into soil. 5- The infield clay will be tilled and subgraded 2' low prior to installing 2" of Dura edge native premium infield mix 105 tons. 6- Rebuild mound to proper height. Dura edge pro packing clay will be used in the platform and landing area. 7- The Homeplate clay will be properly graded, and Dura edge packing clay will be used in the batters and catchers boxes. 8- Laser grade infield skin and soil to proper elevation and slope to within 1/4 ". 9- Install 29,500 square feet of Kentucky Bluegrass Sod on entire remediation area. Fertilizer will be installed prior to sodding and lime will be placed on the sod at completion. 10- Turface pro league red will be installed to enhance playability and moisture management.
