Site work for a water / sewer project in E Harwich, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Project Involves the Rehabilitation of the 1.5-million-gallon (Mg) Pleasant Lake Hydropillar Water Storage Tank Located in Harwich, Massachusetts. The Scope of Work Includes Spot Repairs of Both Interior and Exterior Coatings, a Full Overcoat of the Tank's Exterior Surface,and Other Associated Appurtenant Improvements Necessary to Ensure the Continued Structural Integrity and Operational Functionality of the Tank. The Contractor Shall Supply All Labor, Materials, and Equipment Necessary to Complete the Work Contained in the Specifications. All Employees Who Are to Work on This Project Must Have Completed at Least 10 Hours of Osha Training on Construction Safety and Health. Minimum Wage Rates (Painter Bridges/tanks) as Determined by the Massachusetts Commissioner of the Department of Labor and Workforce Development Shall Apply to the Labor Force on This Project. The Bidder Must Be Able to Demonstrate That His/her Firm Has a Minimum of Five (5) Years of Experience in Five (5) Water Tanks of Equal or Larger Size in Containment, Surface Preparation, and Recoating of Potable Water Tanks in the New England Region. Each Bid Shall Be Accompanied by a Bid Bond, Cash, a Certified Check, or a Treasurer's or Cashier's Check Issued by a Responsible Bank or Trust Company, in the Amount of Five (5) Percent of the Submitted Bid, as Bid Security. The Successful Bidder Will Be Required to Furnish a Payment and Performance Bond, Each in the Full Amount of the Contract. Contract Payment Will Be by the Lump Sum Price and/or Unit Price Method as Indicated on the Bid Form. No Bidder May Withdraw His/ Her Bid for Ninety (90) Days After the Date Designated Above for the Opening. Bids for This Contract Are Subject to the Provisions of Massachusetts General Laws (Mgl) Chapter 30, Section 39m. The Owner Reserves the Right to Reject Any or All Bids or to Accept Any Bid Deemed by Them to Be in the Best Interest of the Town of Harwich Select Board and to Limit the Extent of the Work to Keep Within the Limits of Available Funds.
