The Town seeks bids from highly qualified contractors specializing in fiber optic infrastructure to expand its existing network, enhancing interdepartmental communication, secure data transfer, and high-speed internet connectivity. The Town has been awarded the Municipal Fiber Grant by the State of Massachusetts and intends to expand its fiber network beyond the current connections between Town Hall, Community Center, Brooks Free Library, and the Public Safety Building. Each Bid must be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and must be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of five percent of the Bid in the form of a bid bond or certified treasurer's or cashier's check issued by a responsible bank or trust company. The successful Bidder must furnish and a 50% Payment Bond with a surety company acceptable to the Town. The Town of Harwich reserves the right to waive informalities or to reject any or all bids in the best interest of the Town. Bids determined to be unbalanced may be rejected.
