Site work for a civil project in Herkimer, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade water / sewer project; one-story above grade water / sewer project; and one-story above grade water / sewer project.

Work for Contract No. 1 - General Construction will consist of furnishing all materials, equipment, and labor necessary for the installation of approximately 10,225 linear feet of DR-18 C900 8" PVC water main, line valves, and fire hydrants, including all associated excavation, backfill, fittings, appurtenances, water services, clearing, paving, disinfection, landscaping, testing, connections to existing water system, demolition of existing piping, and thrust restraint, all as further detailed in the plans and specifications. This contract also includes construction of a booster pump station and the exterior site work for the Water Storage Tank, including all associated exterior piping, stormwater drainage utilities, control panels (furnish only), flow meters, transducers, electrical kiosks (structure only), chemical feed sheds and chemical feed systems, excavation, backfill, concrete foundations, concrete vaults, access roads, thrust restraint, clearing, and restoration, all as further detailed in the plans and specifications. Work for Contract No. 2 - Water Storage Tank will consist of furnishing all materials, equipment and labor necessary for the installation of a potable water storage tank, as shown and specified. Work for Contract No. 3 - Electrical will consist of installing electric services to the booster pump station and tank site, a telephone service to the booster pump station, lighting, power circuits, the telemetry system, installing control panels associated with mechanical and process equipment, furnishing and installing all additional control equipment, furnishing and installing control wiring, and furnishing and installing a standby generator at the pump station, including all necessary wiring, conduits, grounding, bonding, panelboards, automatic transfer switches, circuit breakers, and raceways, as shown and specified. Each bid must be submitted within a sealed opaque envelope. The name of the bidder and "Town of Herkimer Water District No. 3 Improvements Project, Contract No. _ Bid Enclosed" shall be clearly marked on such envelope. The bids shall include all items listed in the "PACKAGE TO BE SUBMITTED WITH BID" which is included with the project manual. If a Bid is sent by mail or other delivery system, both the outside packaging and sealed envelope containing the bid within shall be clearly marked "Town of Herkimer Water District No. 3 Improvements Project, Contract No. _ Bid Enclosed." Accompanying each bid must be a bid bond or certified check made payable to the order of the Town of Herkimer in the amount of five (5%) percent of the bidder's maximum bid amount as a guarantee that if the contract is awarded to a bidder, said successful bidder will comply with the Notice to Bidders and the specification for the contract in accordance therewith. Every bid or proposal must contain a non-collusion affidavit executed by the bidder or his authorized representative. Separate Performance and Payment Bonds, each equal to one hundred (100%) percent of the contract sum, will be required of the successful bidder. The bidder to whom the contract will be awarded shall execute the contract and furnish required sureties within ten (10) days after the date of Notice of Award. Failure to do so will result in Bidder's forfeit of contract work and bid security. No bidder may withdraw their bid within ninety (90) days after the date set for the opening thereof. Any bid may be withdrawn prior to the above scheduled time for the opening of bids, or any authorized postponement thereof. The Town of Herkimer reserves the right to waive any informalities in or to reject any or all bids submitted or to award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder who in the Town's judgment makes the most advantageous proposals to the Town of Herkimer.
