The Herkimer Central School District invites sealed bids, in duplicate, for a General Contract for the 2025-26 Capital Outlay Project. Prospective bidders should note that this is a single General Contract under the Wicks Law. Plumbing, HVAC, and Electrical subcontractors shall be named, with their contract amounts, on a list in a sealed envelope enclosed within the sealed Bid envelope at the time of bid. Bidding and contract documents may be examined at specific locations or obtained as electronic or paper copies for a fee or deposit. Prospective bidders will be issued a maximum of two sets each; subcontractors and material suppliers will be issued a maximum of one set each. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all bids. Each bidder must deposit with its bid, security in an amount and form subject to the conditions provided. Withdrawals of bids will be subject to the conditions in the instructions to bidders. The work must be completed by the date set forth in the project schedule. There will not be a pre-bid meeting. Site inspection may be arranged with the District with prior notification. Requests for interpretation or clarification must be made in writing and will not be responded to by telephone. Written addenda may modify the contract documents prior to bid; modifications after execution of the agreement are also possible.
